The Sandcastle Man
About
Bill Pavlacka, The Sandcastle Man, is an award winning artist that creates three-dimensional sculptures out of sand.

He was raised in New Jersey and made his way out to California in the early 1980's. He started a family with his wife, Lynne, in 1985.
While playing in the sand on the beaches of San Diego with his four children, Billy started to develop wonderful sand-sculpting skills. Over the years, he grew fond of long days of sculpting on the beach and continued building sandcastles well after his children were grown.

The construction industry got hit hard during the recession and work became scarce for Billy. This event turned out to be a blessing in disguise. After months of hardship, he started building sandcastles on a daily basis and opened his own business. He now builds castles for weddings, engagements, parties, corporate events, and commercials.

On most days, The Sandcastle Man can be found building one of his masterpieces in front of Hotel Del Coronado.
